PrincipalsI. Jay Safier, CPA, FACFEI Mr. Safier has many years of professional experience providing accounting, auditing, tax, estate and business consulting services to a diverse group of closely held businesses, high net worth individuals and not-for-profit organizations. Additionally he has been involved in matters covering representation of clients before taxing authorities, shareholder disputes, bankruptcies, forensic investigations and has been called upon as an expert witness. He is a CPA licensed in New York and Connecticut. Mr. Safier received his bachelor's degree from The Stern School of Business (formerly School of Commerce) at New York University and his MBA in taxation from The Bernard M. Baruch College. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants where he has been an active member of various committees in both professional organizations. Mr. Safier has also lectured on various accounting and tax topics as a faculty member of the Foundation for Accounting Education, the educational division of the NYSSCPA's, and has been published on various income tax and estate tax matters. In addition to being a licensed CPA, Mr. Safier holds the designations of Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) issued by the AICPA and Fellow of the American College of Forensic Examiners Institute. He is also a former member of the board of directors of Crystal Run Village, Inc., a not-for-profit organization that owns and operates group homes for the developmentally disabled in Rockland, Orange and Sullivan counties of New York. |
