PartnersMichael Hochman, CPA, CCIFP Michael Hochman, CPA, CCIFP is the Partner-in-Charge of the New City office and formerly a Partner at Kahn, Hoffman & Hochman, LLP. He joined the firm in January 2011 and serves on the firm's Executive Committee and is a Senior Audit Partner with a client base reflecting a wide spectrum of industries, including construction, manufacturing, distribution and real estate, and is largely responsible for building the firm's niche within the construction industry. Mr. Hochman has a clear understanding of the in-depth knowledge required for the unique accounting and tax requirements of the construction industry. This knowledge enables the firm to properly plan for year-end financial statements and tax filings. Through years of commitment to our clients, Mr. Hochman has built a reputation within the banking and bonding community that directly benefits our clients. Mr. Hochman also holds the Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional ("CCIFP") designation. The certification indicates his advanced level of knowledge and experience in construction financial management. Mr. Hochman also has broad experience in tax planning and return preparation for corporations, individuals, partnerships and estates and he has represented clients before both Federal and State taxing authorities. Further, Mr. Hochman acts as a consultant to the litigation support practice on issues such as matrimonial disputes, bankruptcy, insolvency and estate litigation issues. Mr. Hochman played a key role in forming investment alliances with nationally known investment firms to provide additional financial planning services to our clients. He has oversight responsibility for that part of the practice, including compliance with the NASD and New York State regulations pertaining to Registered Investment Advisors. Mr. Hochman is a CPA licensed in New York and New Jersey and has a BS in Accounting from the University of Florida, Fisher School of Accounting. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Construction Contractors Association, the Rockland Business Association and the Construction Financial Management Association. |
