Hilton L. Sokol, CPA, JD, LLM

Hilton L. Sokol, CPA, JD, LLM, formerly a Partner at Miller, Ellin & Company, LLP, joined the firm in January 2009 as a Tax Partner.  His expertise includes individual, partnership, corporate, trust, estate and cooperative tax law.  His specialties include estate planning, transfers to the next generation and acquisition and sales of companies.  Mr. Sokol handles a diversified clientele including, but not limited to, food importers, parking garage operators, real estate operators, private investment houses, manufacturers and supermarket owners.

Mr. Sokol received his BS in Accounting from Long Island University, his JD from Brooklyn Law School and his LLM in Taxation from New York University.  He is admitted to the New York and New Jersey State Bars, U.S. Supreme Court, Federal District Court in the Second and Third Circuit, U.S. Tax Court and the Court of Claims.  He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants ("AICPA") and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants ("NYSSCPA").  He has lectured for the AICPA, the NYSSCPA, and the World Trade Institute on various federal and state tax matters and on estate planning.
