Shiny Samuel – Director of MIS

Shiny Samuel joined Rosen Seymour Shapss Martin & Company LLP in 1998 as the Director of MIS.  Ms. Samuel’s primary responsibilities include:

• Overseeing the functions of the Department, and managing the companywide LAN.
• Maintaining and troubleshooting all areas of the SAN.
• Setting up servers, installing applications, and providing support for the various Tax and Accounting softwares.
• Ensuring the Exchange servers are functioning properly and troubleshoot issues with mail flow.
• Enabling users to access the network out of the office and troubleshoot any issues they may have using Citrix.
• Prioritizing work and delegating it to the other Network Administrators.
• Researching various products related to networking, and interfacing with the product vendors.
• Working with support teams on issues related to routers and firewalls.
• Providing companywide network security, anti-virus, and anti-spam support.
• Creating SQL databases and performing daily functions to ensure proper database management.
• Ensuring that proper backup of the system is maintained at all times.
• Providing desk support, as needed.

Ms. Samuel graduated from Baruch College with a BA in Computer Information System. Subsequently, she enrolled at Computer Career Center for Computer Networking.
