RSSM Announces Principal Promotions

NEW YORK, NY – July 2011 - Rosen Seymour Shapss Martin & Company LLP (“RSSM”), Certified Public Accountants and Profitability Consultants, announces the promotion of Steven Marcus, CPA and Jeff Schwartz, CPA to principal.

Steven Marcus, CPA - Principal

Steven Marcus, CPA, MST, has over 30 years of public accounting and financial management experience.  Mr. Marcus specializes in providing accounting, audit and tax services to a diverse clientele of closely held businesses and not-for-profit organization.  He is a principal in charge of audits and manufacturing, wholesale distribution and software technology companies and local governments.  Also, Mr. Marcus has been involved in various aspects of bankruptcy proceedings.

Mr. Marcus is a CPA licensed in New York, Massachusetts and New Hampshire.  Steve received his B.S. in Accounting from Salem State College, MA and his Master of Science in Taxation from Bentley College, MA.  He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Jeff Schwartz, CPA - Principal

Jeff Schwartz, CPA, has forty years of experience in public accounting providing accounting, auditing, tax and management consulting services to a wide spectrum of privately held and family owned businesses.  Before joining RSSM (formerly Kahn, Hoffman & Hochman LLP) he was the managing partner of Schwartz & Schwartz CPA in Nanuet, New York.

Mr. Schwartz is a CPA licensed in New York and received his B.S. degree from Northeastern University and his M.S. (Accounting) degree from Long Island University.  He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants.
