Martin Leventhal Appointed As A Member Of The Relations With The Bar Committee For The American Institute Of Certified Public Accountants

Martin Leventhal, CPA has been appointed as a member of the Relations With The Bar Committee for the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants for the 2008-2009 year.

Mr. Leventhal, the Co0Chairman of the firms Business Investigation and Insolvency Group (BIIG), has over 40 years of professional experience providing tax, auditing, litigation services, forensic accounting and expert witness services.  Mr. Leventhal acts as a consultant to taxpayers and attorneys for tax examinations including fraud.  His expertise also includes the following industries: securities, medical and legal practices, manufacturing and real estate.  He has extensive involvement in both the auditing and administration of not-for-profit entities.

Mr. Leventhal is a CPA licensed in New York and New Jersey and received his B.S. from Brooklyn College.  He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants; he is also a Past Chairman of the NYSSCPA Litigation Services Committee and the Consulting Services Oversight Committee.  He is a member of The Accountants Club of America.

Mr. Leventhal is currently the President of Harbor Childcare, and is on the Board of Directors for Literacy Nassau.  Both are non-profit agencies.
