Avery E. Neumark, CPA, JD, LL.M Joined The National Editorial Board For Trendlines

Avery E. Neumark, CPA, JD, LL.M,  joined the National Editorial Board (NEB) for Trendlines, a publication of PDI Global/Thomas Reuters.  PDI Global, part of the Tax & Accounting business of Thomas Reuters, offers marketing and client communication solutions for accounting and consulting firms, law firms, banks, and financial service providers.

Mr. Neumark is the Partner-in-Charge of Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation with Rosen Seymour Shapss & Company LLP ("RSSM") and has over twenty-five years of experience in public accounting and employee benefits consulting and Mr. Neumark joined RSSM in 1994.  He also has served as Counsel to the law firm of Rosen & Reade.  Prior to joining RSSM, Mr. Neumark served as a Partner in Weber Lipshie & Company and Ernst & Young.  Mr. Neumark has extensive experience in the technical aspects of qualified plans and executive compensation and has advised clients on the design, operation and compliance requirements in accordance with the relevant statutes.  Mr. Neumark has published and lectured in these areas as well.

A cum laude graduate of Yeshiva University in 1974, Mr. Neumark received his JD degree from Brooklyn Law School in 1977 and his LL.M in Taxation from the New York University School of Law in 1980.  Mr. Neumark is a member of the American Bar Association's Employee Benefits Committee and is the past Chairman of the Fringe Benefits Sub-committee.  He has served on the Board of Directors of the New York State Society of CPA and is a member of its Employee Benefits Committee and Mediation and Arbitration Committee.  He was recently appointed to the Tax Executive Committee of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants ("AICPA").  He is a member of the New York Bar Association's Employee Benefits Committee and the Tax Management Compensation Planning Advisory Board.  He has lectured throughout the United States to such groups as the American Bar Association, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Young Presidents Organization, New York University Institute of Federal Taxation, New York State Society of CPA's, International Association for Financial Planning, American Compensation Association, Institute of Certified Financial Planners and Practising Law Institute.

In addition to his professional affiliations, Mr. Neumark is active in many non-profit organizations.  He is the Vice President of the Orthodox Union.  He is a Chairman of the pension plan subcommittee of the UJA-Federation in New York and also serves on its legal and tax panel.
